A Truly Meaningful New Year’s Resolution

Although it may cause you angst, it is not likely that by yourself you can bring about world peace. Nor, despite your sympathy for the loss of life from Tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes and sundry disasters, can you stay the immeasurable power of the Earth when it unleashes its’ wrath.
Yet you possess the most miraculous tool ever created. A true magic wand that can transform lives and circumstances, both your own, and many others whose lives you touch. It is more powerful than the greatest supercomputer; more effective than the most acclaimed wonder drugs. You have always had it in your tool chest, but it is often forgotten and neglected in the hustle and bustle of life.
As you usher in the New Year, dust off the internal cobwebs and turn on the lights in your amazing, incomparable, truly extraordinary mind. To harness the dynamo within, do not fear to leap forward because of where you now stand. Your station in life is unimportant. Your level of education is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is your attitude, and that is planted and cultivated in the garden of your mind by the master gardener of your life — you!
The power of your mind as manifested through your attitude can help you endure the greatest pains and travails of life and surmount its most monumental mountains. With the right attitude, one that says, “I can”, instead of “I can’t”, one that sees promise instead of disappointment, one that recognizes possibilities instead of obstacles, your life is yours to command despite all the chaos that may be going on in the world beyond your control.
If you want to make a New Year’s resolution that will impact you for all the rest of your years and not be forgotten some months down the road, make a convicted resolution to improve your attitude in all aspects of your life. For as one thinks, so they become…
