The Twelve
Commandments
1:
Ask of Elohim for your righteous
needs, with a humble heart and a pure spirit, and they shall be
manifested unto you within the purposes of God.
2:
You shall neither worship, nor
pray to, nor venerate false gods or graven images, or men or
governments or kings, or spirits or angels, or anything that is,
except Elohim.
3:
You shall not curse or swear at
all, or use the name of Elohim in vain, in any form. But
cultivate a sweet disposition, wherein a curse is alien to your
soul.
4:
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep
it holy. Six days you may labor, and do all of your work; but
the seventh day is the day of Elohim. On that day you shall not
work, but gather together with the Children of Light that you
might edify and uplift one another, and renew your covenants,
and share knowledge of Elohim and of the paths of light. And
let this also be a day for the family to come together and
commune with one another with full attention; to increase their
bonds of fellowship and love. And let this also be a day to
visit the mountains and the sea and desert and the forests and
all the wonders Elohim has created for you; that you might
reflect upon your journey, strengthen your family and draw
closer to Heaven. And let this be a day of study and of prayer,
of reflection and repentance, of covenants and recommitment, and
of all wholesome things of rest and renewal, which uplift you
and bring you closer to God and to your family.
5:
You are a temple of God. Do not
defile your temple inside or outside, but keep yourself clean
and pure that the light of Elohim may illuminate you.
6:
You are an emissary of Elohim;
strive to always be a worthy representative of the divine that
others will see your good light and glorify God. Be humble in
heart and rich in spirit. Do good deeds and be a peacemaker.
Despise hypocrisy and a double tongue. Do not exalt yourself
but give praise to others. Find the blessings in the trials
that come upon you. Be slow to anger and quick to forgive. Be
not joined with the haughty or arrogant, but befriend the
righteous and the lowly. Judge not others and be tempered and
balanced in your thoughts and actions. Do not raise your voice
in unrighteous anger or instigate violence of word or deed. In
all things, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
7:
You shall not covet, or be
avaricious, or steal, or be dishonest, or take any unfair
advantage of others; nor gather unto you wealth in the world
beyond your needs. Give your excess for the building up of the
Kingdom of God, and store up for yourself treasures in Heaven,
not on earth.
8:
You shall not commit fornication,
or adultery, or in any way be a corrupter of youth.
9:
Love your neighbors, and your brothers and sisters of light,
even in all of their faults, even as Elohim loves you despite
your shortcomings. Do generous and thoughtful things for them
as you would have them do for you. Do not bear false witness
against them, or slander them, or gossip about them with
others. If you have a grievance, go and speak in peace and
kindness with them, not anger.
10:
Honor your father and your mother
as they have honored you with their time and sacrifice and
nurturing. Love them all of their days, and when they are old,
care for them as they have cared for you.
11:
You shall not maim or murder;
wherein, you shall not grievously injure or take the life of
anyone, save it be in defense of mortal attack upon you or your
family, or your home. Nor shall you kill to eat as food any
animal, or bird, or creature of the sea that is of warm blood or
nurtures its young, save it be in times of famine or pestilence,
when food is not found in the garden and the storeroom is
empty. Nor shall you join yourself to armies that bring war to
other lands, but only to defend against a destroyer upon your
land, and then only after every way of honorable peace has
failed. And if it be that you must take a life for any of these
causes, you shall make your heart right again with God with
fasting and prayer, and have a spirit of love and peace before
you enter again into the house of the Lord.
12: Be a good and
faithful steward of the Earth and with all of the creatures
thereof. This beautiful world Elohim has given unto you that
you might find all you have need of. Take the precious gift you
have been given, protect it, magnify it, and pass on a greater
gift to your posterity. Send
